J-524 Tool Question

Does anyone have the specs for this tool identified in the shop manual that is a spacer for installing leaf spring shackles? Car is a '37 Terraplane. I don't need the tool if I can ascertain the tool's thickness. An ancient PO did not use it to reinstall the springs, which bottomed out the bushings, ruining all the grease zerks.

    I believe their is a diagram of how to make one in one of Walt Mordenti's tech tip books.

    Yes, I read that in another post, but I do not have any of Walt's books. Are they still available?
