K-Gap '49 Vent Window Rubber Fit???
Question for those who have purchased K-Gaps Vent Window Rubber Seals.....
Did you have this problem with gap for the window hinge being in the wrong place? As you can see from the pics, it is about 3/4" off. I am tempted to just trim the outside portion, but I am concerned about the outside part allowing air in and whistling. Perhaps I am worrying about nothing. Still wondering why it is off. Maybe the converts are smaller, or maybe I got the wrong seals?????
Anway, for those who have already installed this, can you give me some feedback?
Thanks

convertibles and hollywoods have a different vent window profile than the closed cars, perhaps you were sent the wrong rubbers.0

I don't know about a '49 but I put them in my '54 coupe and there was a piece of paper in the bag, saying that they may need to be trimmed slightly to fit. I have had no trouble with mine, 5 years now.
