While I think this will work fine, Isn't there a slight difference in the carbs? And of course there might be a difference in linkage on the automatics and standard transmissions and possibly short to long wheelbase. I think Bill A. mentioned on the later manifolds the carb bases are smaller on the twin H wasps (hashes).0 -

It will bolt right on and should work, but 262 used different manifold, as it had smaller carbs than 308. You won't get full advantage of twin H, You will be better off traning the intake and carbs for ones from 308.0 -
