    They may have one of several possible transmissions. First, the Hydromatic with dual range feature, second a Borg Warner 3 speed manual {This was the two lever model} or it could have a 3 speed manual BW with overdrive. Then there was the intervening 54 years that enabled a bunch of folks to put in just about anything they wanted.

    tough question. 52 was a transition year for transmissions it really depends on when the car was produced. from the factory a 52 hornet could have single or double lever standard transmissions either w/ and w/o o.d. they also could have single or dual range hydramatics.
