More Fuel Pump Questions

The pump that came with my 50 Pace has some brass fittings attached. The steel (1/4" OD) fuel lines then had fittings that went into these brass ones.Is this factory orginal? I ask because I do not have my books yet (on order).
Anybody got a picture of a factory original installation for the 50 Pace with 232 and Carter carb (I can see the name Carter clearly on my carb).

My 49 Commodore had brass fittings on the fuel pump also - going to the steel line
