Oil pressure
I bought a new oil pressure sending unit and checked it out before using it. It opens at 6psi. The old one had a slow leak around the crimp, it opened at 18psi. What do you think? Should I use the new one or not? It's for a rebuilt 308 not installed yet. I want it to be right when we fire it up. Thanks Will.

Why not screw a wet gage in there when you fire it up. Then you will know where you are. After you know what it's doing, use an itiot sender to gaurd against catastrophic failure.0

I was going to put a tee in and do that but I'm not sure what the pressure should be. If the old one was 18 psi what should it be cold and then warmed up? Thanks Will.0
