How much rust is too much?
I found a stepdown coupe recently that is complete and running/ driving, but has serious rust issues. At a glance it doesn't look bad, but I was able to poke an awl though the rear frame on either side on the rear spring shackle. Both side of the frame are about the same.
The rockers are shot, floors are shot too. It definalty can be saved, but...
Are coupes rare enough to bring this one back, or is this a parts car to complete a solid donor?
Matt

Matt, It comes down to time and money. Figure major amounts are going to be involved to save this car. Is that what you want to do? Maybe you should check on the WTN and use this one as a donor car. Have you done a major reconstruction before? I just want to tell you from experience it will tax your patience and wallet. If you have and this does not faze you -do it. Stepdown coupes are available and in better shape. Good luck in any event.0
