Another question on color
I asked a question earlier about the original color or my car which Alex kindly answered. There is , however , nowhere I can see on the data plate that would have a color code letter on it and it got me to thinking (again) if any of the original factory records still exist at all in any shape or form?
I've corresponded via email with Alex and he believes that they were mostly trashed when AMC took over but you never know!
My car is a UK built one and I'm going to try and see if there is anyone over here that may know about the UK records but Alex suggested that a post to the bulletin board never hurts!
Thanks,
Paul

You're correct, no indication of color, trim, options, etc. Things were simpler back then sounds like a good reason why. On occasions, factory docs still continue to surface in dribs and drabs.0

Try this thread for where to find the paint code.
