TDC markings on 1939 112
I'm (still) trying to time my 112 and I don't seem to be able to find any markings on the flywheel that give me a clue! I know it's a sign of getting old but what exactly is it that I should be seeing? I know the flywheel is covered in grease and muck but I have tried to find the marks and I can't.
Help!
Thanks,
Paul

First you have to clean the flywheel! Take the bottom cover off and give it a good going over. Then you will find a series of lines embossed in the periphery of the flywheel. The longest one is the t.d.c. mark, and the shorter osnes are for referenceing when setting the valve and ignition timing. email me direct and I'll scan a copy of the workshop manual page. geoffclark@xtra.co.nz

Geoff,
Thanks for this. I've sent an email as requested.
