Gas and oil gauge sending unit

Hi Everyone
A friend of mine is working on a 1930 8 cyl engine which has the oil and gas level gauge combination. He's looking for info on how the sending unit works. Any information would be great. Anyone have a schematic? Thanks in advance. Gene.

This is a dual-coil gauge, with a 180 ohm resistance unit in the tank. No diagram, but that is probably the only information you need. They are not voltage dependant, so no voltage regulator is required.0
