Wheel Color For A 52 Texas Tan Hornet Coupe?

Not sure what Hudson colors I'm going to repaint the car, but if I stay with the original Texas Tan, what color would the rims be? Would they be the same if I go with a Toro red exterior? Thanks, Niels

    I have a toro red 52 coupe and the wheels all appear to be the body color and have never been repainted

    Beginning in 1951, the wheels were painted a color similar to body color, but a wheel enamel rather than the lacquer used on the body panels. 1950 and earlier were either cream or red.

    Photos of the Texas Tan '51 coupe I bought in '55, plus my (now suspect) recollection, indicate the wheels were same color as the body.

    My '50's are red like the body was originally.
