I have a friend that is just about ready to start in Her new Leather business, If I had the dimensions and maybe a picture or 2, I could run it by her. I know she is going to be making Tack for horses, Belts, and Guitar straps. Maybe what you need is not that much different?

Try a Dog Collar especially the sort farm dogs use.0

I would think a saddle maker is the guy/girl you need. You got Harleys, know any seat makers?0

The leather usually used will turn black in time from moisture.
and stain whatever it covers; whitesidewall, fabric.
The type in picture is dyed and that stabilzes the color and it is wax coated to keep it nice and prevent staining.
My leather vendor did very nice work but was unacceptable for timely delivery. Suggest Amish harness makers
Someone advertised himself as "the Buckle man" he can match up new buckles for your project. Try Hemmings to locate him
or the internet. My buckles buffed and looked OK.0 -
folks, I used to do saddle repairs and make accessories for some of the old time car guys, hood straps, stuff like that. When you have it done you need to have the right leather used or it can corrode your metal works or stain whatever it comes in contact with, unless you just don't care I would use someone who specializes in auto accessories.

Yep; that looks like Herman Oak leather straps, the big thing you have to watch out for is leather from India or Malaysia, they tan the leather in urine and it isn't as supple, it will also cause corrosion and staining, to many leather shops are using it though as it's really cheap and many figure they only get one shot at a customer and they need to make the maximum profit in that one shot.
