Hi All;

Just back from the Hostetler Hudson Museum grand opening. Nice time, but, a little disappointed in the number of Hudsons that were driven there. Only three Hudson products in the parking lot. I drove my 37 Terraplane about 110 miles one way. My brother and family friend went along for the trip and were very impressed with the museum. The event had some local media coverage, and hopefully there will be some pictures in the WTN. Another good time with the Hudson, and chance to see some old friends and a great museum.

    Hello

    A wonderful day to celebrate Eldon and Esta Hostetler and the opening of the museum. A well done program in which Eldon recieved the highest award of the HET club and also the highest award given by the state of Indiana. Eldon told me he still finds it hard to believe the completion of the musuem is reality.

    The membership of the club came from Indiana, Michigan Illinois and Florida! Everyone had favorable comments for the program , museum and gormet lunch.

    Best wishes for a promising future to the Hostetler Hudson Museum, the Splash water park and hotel.

  • I'm not at all surprised by the lack of Hudsons showing up. There's a whole bunch of 'em from what I've seen in the area - but only 3 shows Hudson people still ain't over the fear of having their precious beauties contaminated by the great unwashed.

    To damn bad they can't get over it. Yeah, yeah, I know - the big excuse is I had to work. So it goes.

    Ill put my money on work. That happens for most Hudson owners on Friday. Plus many were already there during the national.
  • Anyone have any pictures of the museum cars to post?

  • Hi everyone. I just started looking for Hudson sites this week since this week I bought my first Hudson(s). I longtime neighbor sold me a restorable 51 Hornet with a nice body and two parts cars. Only one is a Hornet. He wanted 250 for the lot or he was going to send them for scrap metal!!!! ACK! Problem is the Hornet does not have any of the emblems on the side (rest of the trim is there), the deck lid or the spears on the tops of the front fenders. Is there any place that makes these or has them for sale. My second request is ignitions. Since the Hornet has been sitting since '68 he has over time lost the keys. Is there someplace that sells door/trunk locks and ignition switches? I am very much looking forward to this restoration. Thanks for any help.

    The ribbon cutting is taking place between the hotel and museum with the water park in the background.

    Eldon Hostetler is wearing a white shop coat and Esta Hostetler is next to him.

    Also, there is a great segment on the museum cars in John Fromm's latest video of our Auburn meet.
