How much oil?

What's the oil capacity, including the filter for a 6?

I'm assuming you fill or "prime" the filter holder and then fill the pan?

It's weird asking questions about a "stock" setup!

    I believe it is six quarts, including the filter change. That's what my Wasp took, anyway, with a 262.

    308s are 7qts plus the filter.

    I'm pretty sure the factory specified capacity for my 262 is 7-1/2 quarts. With my filter, If I put in a full 8 quarts at oil change, this puts it just a 'smidgen' above full.

    i just looked at the tech guide, it is 7.5 quarts with the filter. 7 without. -john

    Thanks all - 7+ qts...ahhh...the good ol' days when a quart of oil was .o5 :mad: :p
