Seems they're going to make a movie (other than CARS) prominently featuring a '35 Terraplane about none other than John Dillenger played by Johnny Dep. At least the studio did some homework but I don't think Dillenger had a '35 I think it was a '34 Terraplane and the car still exists. Movie is being shot in the Mid-west close to the actual historical events.

Someone want to contact Universal and tell them they could put the actual car in the movie ? LOL

aaron, i read they have wrapped shooting here in the midwest and the story also said they were offered dillingers car and elected not to use it...that sounds bad, but perhaps the owner put too many restrictions on the car for the studios needs. regards, tom

Dillinger was driving a '33 T8 sedan when the Chicago police, after getting a "tip", tried to catch him. He outran them but they left a bullet in the firewall. After the chase he abandoned the car. It is now in the possession of a new, as yet unopened museum, in Wash. D. C. after having belonged to a one time HET member.

He gave his girlfriend a '33 T8. As I recall he used a '32 E-T in a robbery in Ohio.

If interested in this era read John Toland's "The Dillinger Days", most interesting.
