What is the correct rearend width for a 40 coupe?

Going a little post crazy right now..... Looking for a couple of different rear-end ideas for the coupe. The width on th front end from backing plate to backing plate is about 49 1/2 to 50 inches and was just wondering what the stock width of the rear-end.

    40 Coupe rear end is 54 1/4 inside backing plates.
