37 Terraplane parts wanted

Hi there.

I am still looking for the head unit for a 1937 Terraplane radio.

Also looking for a tail light. If it did not have the lense that would not be a problem.

Can anyone help

    Have you tried Robbie Williams 13289 N. Linden St., Clio Mi48420 Phone # 810 686 9548. Robbie is the Club 1937 Resource Person and if he doesnt have he may point you in a helpful direction.



    (Another thought if not against using something similar) is to look at '35- 36 Dodge/Plymouth tailights which have a similar housing).

    Robbie does'nt have one, don't know where one is, I've asked him myself as I also need one . There were 2 models, factory went in center of dash, dealer installed went in panel in front of steering wheel, had a round dial like a clock BUD

    Are you sure about that 'dealer installed' option? I had never heard that before. There were certainly some aftermarket radios, and each of them may have had their way of installation, but I have only seen one type of radio head (center of dash) in the literature, shop manual, and parts book.



    There was a fairly-close aftermarket one (it's been duscussed in another thread on the Hudson forum) which actually fit right in the holes furnished in the dashboard. It even had a tone control mounted concentric with one of the two knobs, which was an improvement over the factory model, and it had the dial visible through the little window in the dash. I don't recall what make it was (possibly Motorola).

    HI JON and all, Well as sure as I can be if I beleive what I read some where a while back on the net along with a pic showing it, would not argue the point either way as I'm no expert on the matter, just accepted someone else's word on it .. Yes I've seen pics of the other one mentioned also but did'nt have any info on whether designed/intended for Terraplane with it. Was one someone put in because it fit and he could'nt find the one we usually see. Bud
