I found this picture on another forum and thought I'd share it. There's several vintage car photos to look at in cities across America that mostly date presixties.

Really great set of pictures in that link...the architecture differences between some of the before and after shots really makes modern architecture bland and uninteresting.

Back to cars...as Yoda says... "...no, there is another..." There's another Hudson...:D

[BTW - the first picture is 1951 New Orleans]

    Wichita Kansas 1952...?

    Nice skyline Picture..

Think the car is a '38 or 39 Lincoln.....
  • pretty close, 41 Lincoln coupe, don't remember if they had the V12 flathead or the V8
  • It is a 75 degree V12, with hydraulic lifters, according to STANDARD CATALOG OF AMERICAN CARS.

Appears to the The Big Easy. Poor ol Hudson surrounded by Chevys.
  • I agree. New orleans. French Quarter. Based on my year there after Katrina, I would say this is Rue Dauphine or Rue Burgundy between Rue Toulouse and Rue St. Phillip.

I lived on Dauphine at the intersction of Bienville.

What great pics provided at the link. I've always thought I was born about 40 years too late...
