in 1950 the pacemaker's heads were marked 500. this represented the model number 500 rather than cubic inches. being a sole year feature and engine this makes it easy to identify a narrow block 232 head.0

Nick,
Would you know then if all narrow block 232 heads are marked 500? Or could there have been some narrow ones used in early 51 that were marked 232?
Thanks0 -
In 1951 all 232 engines were "wide blocks" and the 500 series numbering on the head was discontinued.0
