Received mine in mail today. Thanks Sam

Got mine today! I am glad I spent the extra $5 for first class mail when I renewed this year. Had to wait too long for the issues to come before. Also, was pleasantly surprised to see my Grand Niece on the back cover. Her great grandpa Dick Royer would have been so proud!0

Got mine on Friday as well, which normally takes 12-14 days WITH 1st class. Quite a surprise, only took two days this time. USPS should consider changing their acronym to CACC (Catch As Catch Can).:eek:0
-
Received mine yesterday.
Bill
P.S. Matt Faust, your letter to the editor with the picture taken by Roy Marks last summer, along with one of Ruthie, was published in this issue. But, it listed you as being from Wesley Chapel, FL. You didn't up and move back on us, did you?0 -
Got mine today. The mail man keeps folding it in half, 2 months in a row now:(
I'm still here in TN. The new roster should be up to date. I better make sure my e-mail signature is up to date too:o

Well, I'm hoping mine will get here today but Karma may keep it from me for a day or two for crying wolf a week or so ago. It'l get here when it gets here I guess.

Arrived in Memphis today - fast pony express. Anybody didn't get theirs today will, perforce, have to wait until next week.
Contains the usual two errors - jam packed, but still not enough to full-fill the need; and it's 2 months until the next one.
Great job as always, Sam and Mary Ann.

I should get my WTN on Monday. I was gone for a week after Doc's meet.
I got back yesterday and neglected to get to the Post Office today in time to pick up my mail. Oh well it will give me something to look forward too other than junk mail and bills.

Received in Florence, Ala, Saturday 5-17-08, excellent articles, loved the one about traveling thru China, what an effort.
Good job, look forward to reading all of it. Bob0 -
The WTN arrived in Indiana on Saturday with a suprise.
I took a pic of the 2008 Terraplane grader box and found the pic on page 310 -
Darn ! It's May 22nd and my first class WTN hasn't arrived in Florida yet. I can honestly say that this is the first time this has happened. Maybe this afternoon? I have worn a path to the mail box.0

Super Dave, oh no, this is an especially good issue too. I really like the scratch and sniff centerfold of the Clifford Headers, all that and cover girls too. I sure hope yours shows up soon.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR...Please Stop announcing when the WTN is in the mail. I normally get mine about a week or so before you mail the newest issue.
I cancelled first class rate last year because it didn't seem to make much of a difference0 -
Got mine up here in Canada today. Looking good....0

It makes a difference in my delivery (First Class rate) - or maybe it's because I moved out of the frigid north, where they still deliver via horseback, into a more central part the country.
So there's you answer, Tom - get out of Washington and move to a more central part of the country. Like Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, for example.

This seems like one of those never-ending subjects, and believe me, we have worked hard to create consistency despite a recalcitrant Postal System. As you know, the magazine is mailed on the 15th of the first cover month (May 15 for May/June). By actual survey, 90% or so of us in the USA who have paid for First Class delivery receive our magazines by the 20th. As indicated in the postings here each issue, many get it on the 16th or 17th (often before I get mine). A few people never get their copy (as with all magazines) and we try to get a replacement out in a timely fashion. I don't think we can do any better, but I'm always willing to try if somebody has a brilliant idea.:D:D:D0

I switched to First Class last year, and what a difference! I usually (well, ALWAYS) arrives within three days of the publishing date. That's about 16-18 days better than it did "regular postage". And at only $5 more per year.
I am still at a loss, hoever, to explain why people get TIME and The Reader's Digest within a day or so of their publishing, despite the fact that they're sentout via Periodical Class! Maybe it's just the masthead; the postal folk dare not insult such "names" with slow delivery! Sam, maybe you had better change our name to Road & Track, or something....0 -
Got mine yesterday and read the article about the 1919 Essex travelling to China , its quite an adventure. So....how about a bunch of us take our stepdowns across country on a trip like that...that would be a hoot!0

I hope someone plans to publish a sched of these caravans - I live almost due south of Detroit, but that doesn't mean I couldn't go a little out of the way to accompany a caravan somewhere - even tho I'm traveling Brand-X.
