Lost a clip
I just got around to replacing the shift rod on my 49. This is the single lever type. The upper end was stripped out. Well.... and dropped the spring clip. Thats why they call them jesus clips right? I have fished around with a magnet to no avail.. Anyone have a spare? the mechanical proceedure book calls it "Control wire anchor hair pin clip" A sugestion as to a suitable replacement will do. Thanks. Shiftless dave

i looked at a spare cable, dimensionally, you may be able to use (2) e-clips for a 1/4 inch shaft (actually the groove may allow a third). at a nickle a piece it won't be worth too much complaining if i'm wrong. they're .527" od, would that be workable, i don't have a clip or a car with standard here to compare.0
