front windows

Now that it has cooled from the mid '90's to '75, this is the time of year to do Hudson projects here in Northern Nevada. I have new cut glass for the front passenger windows of my '50 Commodore 6 mounted on its frame.I have a shop manual, but the discription is very vague. To install, do you remove the frame for the vent window, and install from the top ? Seems it would be difficult to reinstall the vent window after you put in the main window.

When I did my drivers side front window on my 49, I pulled the window channel out ( there are scews holding the window channel to the door frame ). With the window channel removed, I was able to angle in the glass from the top. Once I had secured the glass to the window regulator, I then re-installed the window channels ( actually I replaced them with new ). So I did not take the vent window frame out.
