Hey there, how is everyone? Just picked up an old Essex that I've known about for around 15 years or so, but I'm not exactly sure of what year it is. It is a 2 door sedan (or coach???), has a flip out windshield and an oval window in the back. I have pics but I can't post them yet. It is one of 2 that I found, the second one is in much better shape, 90% of the glass is there and the body is straight. Please let me know what I've got...I'll post the pics soon. Thanx

    Posting the serial numbers of the Essexs would also help.

    Only Essex with an oval window was 1930. The front doors hang on the front pillar, and open rearward.

    Where would I find the serial number? Also, the doors don't open towards the rear...they don't suicide. Thanx again

    I believe the serial number would be stamped on a metal builder's plate fastened to the firewall. Or, it might be on the passenger's side front door pillar (near the door hinges)
