Oil systems on 308

Well, I guess I've been talked out of a drain valve on my oil pan. However, I'm still trying to find out the drain plug size so I can replace mine. I need the size and number of threads (is it NPT?).



While I'm looking at oil systems, the article about oil pumps in the latest WTN got me thinking about mine. I know the distributor shaft has play in it and it may be the oil pump gear. Does anyone know where I can get a new oil pump gear?

The oil plug looks like it's a 1/2-14 NPT.
