1928 Essex Delivery Van
I thought this van was cool when I first laid my eyes on it. Long time Club member Robert (bob) Williams restored and built this body from ground up using photos of Dovers to help design the body shape. It does really look like a geniune Dover but a 1928 version. Some genuine Dovers have survived out here. I know of a complete Dover chassis not far from where I live. Any one interested. NO... just imagine the cost of shipment to America from Australia.

Great looking van. There is a Dover being restored in Christchurch at the moment. These photos we got on a recent HET trip and found a guy in Opotiki who had records of transports companies in the area from the early 1900s and amongst was this Dover that was used by a bakery or suchlike.
