There was a lot of steel used on these. A large portion of the body panels were aluminum, but the hoods and a lot of misc parts were steel. My dad had a rusted out 28 sitting at his place for years. The doors and front cowl looked good because thet were aluminum wrapped on wood. The louvered hood, radiator shell, and most other body parts were solid rust.
A 2 door shouldn't sit for too long if it's priced right.0
