You might want to specify the earlier style, since they went to the top-mounted distributor in 1940 (41?) which would entail some sheet metal work on your firewall....0

Thanks Jon, reckon you knew I want to keep the old gal pretty much original, not a show car just nice. My present engine is worrying me and I drive it around local a lot. So YES, I would prefer that it has the side mount distributor but I may have to consider the later model, depends on how much and exactly where metal had to be changed. BUD0
